Clearfield Forward™ products are protected digital products.
When a customer purchases or downloads a Clearfield Forward™ product, the customer receives a limited single-user license to use the product for their own personal recordkeeping and, when the purchaser operates a one-person business, for internal recordkeeping connected to that business.
This policy explains what customers may and may not do with Clearfield Forward™ digital files.
Single-User License
Purchasers may use The Move Forward File™ for their own permitted personal recordkeeping and, when applicable, internal recordkeeping connected to their own one-person business.
Purchasers may save a blank master copy and create separate working copies for their own permitted personal or internal one-person-business matters.
Purchasers may type, dictate, edit, print, export, save, and store their own completed copies for their permitted use.
Purchasers may share their own completed record with a professional, agency, service provider, company, organization, or other party if they choose to do so.
Customers are responsible for what they choose to share. Sharing a completed record does not give the recipient permission to extract, reuse, reproduce, distribute, or create blank copies from the underlying Clearfield Forward™ product.
What’s Included With Paid Move Forward File™ Products
Each paid Move Forward File™ product includes:
- An editable DOCX file
- A User Manual in PDF format
- A Completed Example in PDF format
The DOCX file is editable for users who want to type directly into the file or use compatible dictation tools.
The User Manual provides guidance for using the file, keeping a blank master copy, creating separate working copies, and reviewing entries for accuracy.
The Completed Example shows how the file may look when used to document a matter from beginning through resolution.
Designed for Long-Term Use
The Move Forward File™ products are one-time digital purchases designed for long-term use by the licensed purchaser.
After download, users may keep a blank master copy, create separate working copies for different situations, and store their files in a location of their choice.
Long-term use depends on the user properly saving, storing, and backing up their own files.
What Is Not Allowed
Customers may not sell, resell, redistribute, upload, publish, give away, sublicense, repackage, or commercially exploit any Clearfield Forward™ product.
Customers may not make or provide copies for another person’s use, except when sharing their own completed record as permitted by this license.
Customers may edit and complete working copies for their own permitted use. Customers may not adapt, reproduce, imitate, or modify the product for resale, redistribution, training, publication, client services, or creation of another commercial product.
Customers may not claim Clearfield Forward™ branding, original written content, instructions, product materials, or other protectable elements as their own.
Customers may not sell, post, distribute, or provide blank or reusable copies of The Move Forward File™ or any Clearfield Forward™ product to other people, groups, websites, platforms, marketplaces, businesses, agencies, organizations, or service providers.
Business, Agency, or Group Use
Clearfield Forward™ products are licensed for use by one purchaser for their own permitted personal matters and, when the purchaser operates a one-person business, internal recordkeeping connected to that business.
Businesses, agencies, organizations, groups, consultants, service providers, trainers, or professionals who want to use, distribute, train from, adapt, or provide Clearfield Forward™ products to others must receive written permission or obtain an appropriate license.
An individual purchaser may use working copies to organize their own personal, household, consumer, workplace, professional, or sole-proprietor matters. This does not permit the purchaser to provide the product to clients, customers, employees, members, students, or other third parties, or to use the product as part of a paid service provided to others.
Completed Customer Files
Customers control their own completed files and retain whatever rights they have in original content they personally create and enter.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that their use, storage, and sharing of information or third-party materials complies with any applicable rights, duties, or restrictions.
The customer’s completed entries do not transfer ownership of the underlying Clearfield Forward™ product.
The Move Forward File™ does not automatically upload, transmit, or provide Clearfield Forward™ with access to customer-entered information.
Clearfield Forward™ cannot see files stored on a customer’s device or in the private storage location the customer chooses.
Clearfield Forward™ does not review, manage, verify, interpret, investigate, organize, or advise on customer-completed files.
Completed files remain under the customer’s control unless the customer independently chooses to upload, email, print, or share them.
Clearfield Forward™ retains all rights it holds in the underlying product, including its original written content, instructions, branding, graphic elements, product materials, and protectable selection and arrangement of content.
No ownership of the underlying Clearfield Forward™ product is transferred to the customer.
Trademarks and Branding
Clearfield Forward™ and The Move Forward File™ are trademarks claimed and used by Clearfield Forward™ in connection with its products and services.
Use of Clearfield Forward™ products does not give customers permission to use Clearfield Forward™ branding, product names, logos, wording, structure, files, templates, or materials for resale, imitation, redistribution, publication, promotion, or commercial use.
Before You Forget Brief
The Clearfield Forward™ Before You Forget Brief is a complimentary digital resource provided to the licensed user for their own permitted use.
The Before You Forget Brief may not be sold, redistributed, uploaded, repackaged, published, given away, or used commercially as a product or service for others without written permission.
Violation of This Policy
Unauthorized copying, sharing, resale, redistribution, uploading, publication, imitation, or commercial exploitation of Clearfield Forward™ products may result in refusal of support or replacement assistance, suspension or removal of access where technically available, reports to the applicable checkout or delivery platform, and pursuit of other remedies available to Clearfield Forward™.
