Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 28, 2026

Clearfield Forward™ respects user privacy.

This Privacy Policy explains how Clearfield Forward™ may collect, use, disclose, and protect information when users visit the website, request or download a free resource, voluntarily join an email list, make a purchase, contact Clearfield Forward™, request support, or otherwise interact with the website, products, or related services.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the personal information or original content customers enter into their own downloaded Move Forward File™ working files because Clearfield Forward™ does not store or access those completed files.

The Move Forward File™ Is Not Web-Based

The Move Forward File™ is a downloadable digital product. It is not a web-based record system, app, customer portal, cloud-storage service, or online case-management platform.

Clearfield Forward™ does not automatically collect, upload, store, access, monitor, review, manage, or control the information users enter into their downloaded working files.

Completed files remain under the user’s control on the user’s own device or in a storage location the user chooses, unless the user independently uploads, emails, prints, or shares the file through another service or with another person.

Users are responsible for saving, securing, backing up, and deciding whether and how to share their completed files. Clearfield Forward™ does not provide permanent storage or backups for customer working files.

Information or files that a user voluntarily sends through email or a support channel are separate from the downloaded product and are handled as described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy. Users should not send completed files or unnecessary sensitive information to Clearfield Forward™.

Information Clearfield Forward™ May Collect

Clearfield Forward™ may collect information that users voluntarily provide when they make a purchase, request support, send an inquiry, request a replacement copy, ask about a refund or delivery issue, voluntarily join an email list, or otherwise communicate with Clearfield Forward™.

Information voluntarily provided may include:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Inquiry information
  • Order number, receipt number, purchase date, product purchased, and other purchase-verification details
  • Product-access, delivery, refund, or replacement-copy request information
  • Support messages and other communications
  • Email subscription preferences
  • Before You Forget Brief order and access information, including the email address provided through Lemon Squeezy’s Lead Magnet checkout

Users should not submit completed working files, client records, account credentials, payment-card numbers, or unnecessary sensitive or confidential information.

The website and its service providers may also automatically collect limited technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages visited, date and time of access, referring website, approximate location derived from an IP address, cookie information, security logs, and similar website-usage or diagnostic data.

The exact information collected may depend on the website, hosting, security, analytics, email, checkout, payment, and delivery tools active at the time of use.

Payment Information

Purchases and Lead Magnet orders are currently processed through Lemon Squeezy, Clearfield Forward™’s Merchant of Record and checkout platform. Lemon Squeezy may collect and process payment information, billing information, transaction details, email addresses, and other information needed to complete or administer the transaction or deliver the requested product or resource according to its own privacy policy and terms.

Clearfield Forward™ does not directly collect or store full payment-card numbers, card security codes, or complete payment credentials.

Clearfield Forward™ may receive limited transaction information from the checkout or payment platform, such as:

  • Purchaser name and email address
  • Order or receipt number
  • Product purchased
  • Purchase date and amount
  • Currency, tax, and payment status
  • Refund, reversal, dispute, or chargeback information
  • Limited payment-method details provided by the platform

Clearfield Forward™ may use this limited information to verify purchases, provide product access, respond to delivery or support issues, maintain business and tax records, and administer refunds or replacement-copy requests.

Payment processing practices and the information made available to Clearfield Forward™ may depend on the platform used at the time of purchase.

How Information May Be Used

Clearfield Forward™ may use collected information to:

  • Provide requested digital products, downloads, and free resources
  • Process and verify purchases, payments, receipts, refunds, delivery issues, disputes, and replacement-copy requests
  • Respond to product questions, customer-support requests, and other communications
  • Manage voluntary email subscriptions and honor unsubscribe preferences
  • Send transactional, purchase-related, delivery-related, support-related, security-related, or administrative messages
  • Operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website, products, communications, and user experience
  • Analyze website use, performance, traffic, and technical issues
  • Detect, investigate, prevent, or respond to fraud, abuse, unauthorized activity, security incidents, or policy violations
  • Maintain appropriate business, accounting, tax, legal, transaction, and platform records
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations, lawful requests, third-party platform requirements, and payment-network procedures
  • Enforce Clearfield Forward™ policies and protect the rights, property, security, and safety of Clearfield Forward™, its users, and others

Clearfield Forward™ uses and retains personal information only as reasonably necessary for legitimate business purposes, legal obligations, security, and the services described in this Privacy Policy.

Clearfield Forward™ will not use personal information for a materially different purpose without updating this Privacy Policy or providing any additional notice or choice required by applicable law.

Email Communications

Clearfield Forward™ may send transactional or administrative emails related to purchases, receipts, product delivery, download access, replacement-copy requests, refunds, support inquiries, security, policy updates, or other requested services.

Users who separately choose to join a Clearfield Forward™ email list may receive occasional Clearfield Forward™ news, product information, announcements, or updates, as described at the point of sign-up. Providing an email address through Lemon Squeezy’s Lead Magnet checkout is required to submit the Before You Forget Brief order and receive access to the Brief, but does not by itself enroll the user in unrelated marketing emails or paid subscriptions.

Marketing emails will include an unsubscribe option. Users may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time by following the instructions provided in the message.

Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not prevent Clearfield Forward™ or its service providers from sending necessary transactional or administrative messages connected to a purchase, delivery, support request, security concern, or other interaction initiated by the user.

Clearfield Forward™ may use a third-party email or mailing-list provider to collect subscription information, maintain email preferences, deliver messages, and process unsubscribe requests according to that provider’s privacy practices and terms.

Before You Forget Brief

Clearfield Forward™ offers the Before You Forget Brief as a complimentary digital resource. Access to the current Brief is provided through Lemon Squeezy’s Lead Magnet checkout. An email address is required to submit the order and receive access to the Brief.

Lemon Squeezy may collect and process the email address and related order, access, technical, or transaction information needed to administer the Lead Magnet checkout and deliver the Brief according to its own privacy policy and terms.

Receiving the Before You Forget Brief does not automatically enroll the user in unrelated marketing emails or paid subscriptions. Users who separately choose to join a Clearfield Forward™ email list may receive communications as described at the point of sign-up.

Clearfield Forward™ may update, replace, suspend, limit, or discontinue the Before You Forget Brief at any time.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Clearfield Forward™ website and its service providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage, log files, and similar technologies to operate, secure, maintain, and understand use of the website.

These technologies may collect or store limited technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages visited, referring website, date and time of access, approximate location derived from an IP address, website activity, preferences, and security or diagnostic information.

Some cookies or similar technologies may be necessary for basic website functions, security, login or administrative features, checkout, product delivery, email sign-up, or user preferences. Other technologies may be used for analytics, performance measurement, or other functions depending on the tools active on the website.

Third-party hosting, security, analytics, email, checkout, payment, and delivery providers may place or access their own cookies or similar technologies according to their privacy policies and terms.

Users may be able to limit or delete cookies through their browser settings or through any cookie-preference tool made available on the website. Blocking certain cookies may affect the availability or operation of some website features.

The exact cookies and similar technologies used may change as website tools and service providers are added, removed, or updated. This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect material changes.

Third-Party Services

Clearfield Forward™ may use third-party service providers to operate and support the website and business. These services may include website hosting and infrastructure, security and backups, analytics, email sign-up and delivery, checkout and payment processing, tax and transaction administration, digital-product delivery, customer support, and related business functions.

Depending on the service used, a third-party provider may collect, receive, process, transmit, or store limited information such as technical website data, contact information, email-subscription information, purchase and transaction details, delivery information, and support communications.

Payment-card details and other payment credentials are handled by the applicable checkout or payment provider as described in the Payment Information section.

Third-party providers operate under their own privacy policies, terms, security practices, and legal obligations. Clearfield Forward™ is not responsible for the independent privacy or security practices, outages, errors, or actions of third-party websites, platforms, or services.

Clearfield Forward™ may add, remove, or replace service providers as the website and business develop. This Privacy Policy will be updated when a material change affects how user information is collected, used, or shared.

How Information May Be Shared

Clearfield Forward™ does not sell or rent personal information for monetary payment.

Clearfield Forward™ may disclose limited information to third-party service providers when reasonably necessary to:

  • Host, operate, back up, maintain, secure, or troubleshoot the website
  • Process checkout, payments, taxes, receipts, refunds, disputes, and chargebacks
  • Deliver purchased products, download links, and requested free resources
  • Manage voluntary email subscriptions, communications, and unsubscribe requests
  • Process customer inquiries and respond to customer-support requests
  • Verify purchases and handle delivery or replacement-copy requests
  • Analyze website traffic, performance, security, and technical issues
  • Maintain business, accounting, tax, transaction, legal, and platform records

Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, a court order, subpoena, lawful government request, tax obligation, payment-network requirement, or third-party platform procedure; to investigate suspected fraud, abuse, security threats, or policy violations; or to protect the rights, property, security, or safety of Clearfield Forward™, its users, or others.

Clearfield Forward™ may disclose information at a user’s direction or with the user’s consent, such as when the user asks Clearfield Forward™ to address a purchase, payment, delivery, or support matter with an applicable service provider.

Service providers may process information under their own privacy policies, terms, security practices, and legal obligations. Clearfield Forward™ seeks to disclose only the information reasonably necessary for the relevant service or business purpose.

Clearfield Forward™ does not sell, rent, or disclose customer-completed Move Forward File™ records as part of ordinary business operations because Clearfield Forward™ does not store or access those working files. Information or attachments voluntarily sent to Clearfield Forward™ are handled as described in this Privacy Policy.

Customer Files and Personal Records

Clearfield Forward™ does not need customers to submit completed working files, client records, private documents, or detailed personal or business situations to provide ordinary product support.

Customers should not send completed files or unnecessary sensitive, confidential, financial, medical, legal, employment, housing, identity, account, or client information through email or support messages.

When requesting support, customers should provide only the limited information reasonably necessary to verify the purchase and explain the product-access, delivery, refund, or replacement-copy issue.

If a user voluntarily sends an attachment or detailed information that Clearfield Forward™ did not request, Clearfield Forward™ may decline to review it, ask the user to resubmit the request without the information, or delete it when it is no longer reasonably needed, subject to applicable legal, security, business-record, and third-party platform requirements.

Clearfield Forward™ does not use customer-submitted records to evaluate the customer’s situation, recommend an action, complete a file, or provide legal, financial, medical, business, investigative, compliance, or other professional advice.

Customers remain responsible for protecting their own devices, passwords, email accounts, storage locations, backups, completed records, and any information they choose to share with another person or third-party service.

Data Security

Clearfield Forward™ uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to its operations to help protect information handled through the website, email, business systems, and third-party service providers.

Security measures may include account-access controls, strong passwords, multi-factor authentication where available, website security tools, software updates, backups, limited access to business information, and the security features provided by hosting, email, checkout, payment, and delivery platforms.

No website, email system, internet transmission, digital-storage method, checkout platform, hosting provider, or third-party service can be guaranteed completely secure. Clearfield Forward™ therefore cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, interruption, or disclosure will never occur.

Users are responsible for protecting their own devices, passwords, email accounts, downloads, completed files, storage locations, and backups. Users should use appropriate security precautions when storing or transmitting sensitive or confidential information.

If Clearfield Forward™ becomes aware of a security incident involving information under its control, it will evaluate the incident and take reasonable steps consistent with the circumstances, applicable law, and relevant third-party platform requirements.

Children’s Privacy

Clearfield Forward™ operates a general-audience website and does not direct its website or online services primarily to children under 13.

Clearfield Forward™ does not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 without the parental notice and consent required by applicable law.

This does not prohibit a parent or legal guardian from obtaining a Clearfield Forward™ product for a minor or from allowing or assisting a minor in using a downloaded product. Information entered into a downloaded Move Forward File™ remains outside Clearfield Forward™ systems unless the user independently sends, uploads, emails, or otherwise provides that information to Clearfield Forward™ or another service.

Children under 13 should not independently provide personal information to Clearfield Forward™, join an email list, submit support communications containing personal information, or make a purchase through the website without the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

If Clearfield Forward™ learns that it has collected personal information online from a child under 13 without any parental authorization required by law, Clearfield Forward™ will take reasonable steps to delete or otherwise handle the information as required by applicable law.

A parent or legal guardian who believes a child under 13 has provided personal information to Clearfield Forward™ may contact Clearfield Forward™ using the contact information provided on the website.

User Choices

Users may choose not to provide personal information voluntarily requested through the website. However, Clearfield Forward™ may be unable to complete a purchase, deliver a product, verify an order, provide support, process a replacement-copy request, or respond to an inquiry without the information reasonably necessary for that purpose.

An email address is required to submit the Before You Forget Brief order through Lemon Squeezy’s Lead Magnet checkout and receive access to the Brief. Providing that email address for order and delivery purposes does not by itself enroll the user in unrelated marketing communications.

Users may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe option included in those messages. Unsubscribing from marketing communications does not prevent necessary transactional or administrative messages related to a purchase, delivery, support request, security matter, or other user-initiated interaction.

Users may manage or delete cookies and similar technologies through their browser settings or through any cookie-preference tool made available on the website. Restricting certain technologies may affect some website functions.

Users may contact Clearfield Forward™ to ask privacy-related questions or request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information Clearfield Forward™ maintains about them. Requests are subject to identity verification and any applicable legal, security, tax, accounting, transaction-record, fraud-prevention, or third-party platform requirements.

Clearfield Forward™ may be unable to retrieve or delete information maintained independently by a third-party provider. Users may need to contact that provider directly regarding information controlled by the provider under its own privacy policy and terms.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

Clearfield Forward™ may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in its website, products, services, information practices, security measures, legal obligations, or third-party service providers.

Updated versions will be posted on the Clearfield Forward™ website with a revised Last Updated date. Material changes may also be communicated through the website, email, or another reasonable method when appropriate or required by applicable law.

Unless otherwise stated, an updated Privacy Policy applies from its posted effective date forward. Clearfield Forward™ will not apply a materially broader use or disclosure practice to previously collected personal information without providing any additional notice or consent required by applicable law.
