Frequently Asked Questions

What is The Move Forward File™?

The Move Forward File™ is a digital documentation tool designed to help users organize important personal matters or internal matters connected to a one-person business into a clearer working record.

It helps users gather dates, contacts, documents, expenses, promises, evidence, correspondence, follow-ups, notes, and other “reality receipts” in one place so the matter can be reviewed with greater clarity, structure, and control.

What is included with The Move Forward File™?

The Move Forward File™ products include:

  • An editable DOCX file
  • A User Manual
  • A Completed Example

The DOCX file is editable for users who want to type directly into the file or use compatible dictation tools.

The User Manual provides guidance for using the file, keeping a blank master copy, creating separate working copies, and reviewing entries for accuracy.

The Completed Example shows how the file may look when used to document a matter from beginning through resolution.

What is the difference between Direct and Structured?

The Move Forward File™ – Direct is streamlined and focused. It is best for users who prefer a straightforward documentation file with minimal prompting.

The Move Forward File™ – Structured provides additional prompts, sections, and guidance. It is best for users who want more support while organizing a situation with multiple moving parts.

Is The Move Forward File™ a one-time purchase?

Yes. The Move Forward File™ products are one-time digital purchases licensed for long-term use by the original purchaser, including permitted personal use and internal recordkeeping connected to a one-person business.

After download, users may keep one blank master copy, create separate working copies for their own permitted personal matters or internal matters connected to a one-person business and store those files in a location of their choice. The blank or reusable template may not be shared with clients, employees, contractors, assistants, or others.

Long-term use depends on the user properly saving, storing, and backing up their own files.

Is The Move Forward File™ web-based?

No. The Move Forward File™ is not a web-based record system, app, portal, or online case-management tool.

The product does not automatically upload, transmit, sync, or otherwise provide Clearfield Forward™ with access to completed files. Clearfield Forward™ cannot view or access files stored on a user’s device or in a private storage location selected by the user.

Completed files remain under the user’s control unless the user independently chooses to upload, email, print, share, or otherwise provide access to them. Files may also be saved or backed up to a computer, phone, tablet, external drive, or USB storage device, subject to device and software compatibility.

Can Clearfield Forward™ see or review my completed file?

Not through the product. Clearfield Forward™ cannot view or access completed files stored on a user’s device or in a private storage location selected by the user.

Clearfield Forward™ does not review, manage, verify, interpret, investigate, evaluate, organize, monitor, or provide advice regarding customer-completed files.

Users are responsible for how they complete, save, store, back up, print, upload, email, share, use, or present their own records, including completed files used for permitted personal matters or internal matters connected to a one-person business.

Can I use The Move Forward File™ for more than one situation?

Yes. The file is designed to be reused for separate permitted personal matters or internal matters connected to a one-person business.

Keep one original blank master file unchanged. For each new matter, create a separate working copy using “Save As,” rename the file for that matter, and enter information into that copy.

Can I use dictation with The Move Forward File™?

Yes, if you are using the editable DOCX version and your device or software supports dictation.

Users may use Microsoft Word Dictate or another compatible speech-to-text tool to speak notes into editable sections. Dictation tools may vary depending on device, software, subscription, and settings.

What software do I need?

Users are responsible for making sure they have compatible software or apps capable of opening and using the included DOCX file, User Manual, and Completed Example.

The DOCX file may be used with Microsoft Word or another compatible document editor.

The User Manual and Completed Example are provided as PDF files and may be opened with a PDF reader, browser, or other compatible PDF tool.

For the fullest editing experience, a computer with compatible word-processing software is recommended.

Can this help with complicated administrative matters?

Yes. The Move Forward File™ may be useful for complicated personal administrative matters or internal matters connected to a one-person business, unresolved account issues, billing disputes, service problems, paperwork delays, workplace or professional situations, repeated follow-ups, changing explanations, missing responses, or matters that take time to understand fully.

As users enter details into one organized record, they may begin to notice patterns, gaps, repeated issues, missing details, or connections that were harder to see while the information was scattered.

Can I use it for workplace or professional situations?

Yes. Users may use The Move Forward File™ to track workplace-related dates, conversations, assignments, requests, policy references, follow-ups, documents, schedule changes, pay or benefit questions, performance-related notes, or other details they want to organize for their own personal records or internal records connected to a one-person business.

The file is for the user’s own permitted personal recordkeeping or, for solopreneurs, internal recordkeeping connected to a one-person business.

Is The Move Forward File™ legal advice?

No. The Move Forward File™ is an organizational documentation tool for permitted personal recordkeeping or, for solopreneurs, internal recordkeeping connected to a one-person business.

It does not provide legal, financial, tax, accounting, medical, therapeutic, investigative, court-preparation, emergency, or other professional advice or services, and it does not guarantee any result, response, decision, resolution, or outcome.

Users are responsible for deciding how they complete, save, store, back up, use, share, or present their own permitted personal records or internal records connected to a one-person business and whether to seek assistance from an appropriate qualified professional.

Does using The Move Forward File™ guarantee a result?

No. Clearfield Forward™ does not guarantee any result, response, refund, correction, approval, decision, resolution, or legal, administrative, workplace, account, business, tax, financial, health-related, service-related, or other outcome.

The purpose of the product is to help users organize information and supporting records more clearly so they can review a matter, identify what may still require attention, and move forward with a stronger working record.

What happens if I lose, delete, damage, or overwrite my file?

Verified purchasers may request a replacement copy of the original blank product they purchased, subject to the Replacement Copies provisions in the Support Policy.

Clearfield Forward™ does not recover, restore, repair, rebuild, recreate, retrieve, organize, or review customer-completed files that have been edited, deleted, damaged, overwritten, misplaced, corrupted, or saved incorrectly.

How long should I keep my completed file?

Completed files may be kept for as long as they remain useful for the user’s permitted use, especially when a matter may resurface later.

Clearfield Forward™ does not provide legal, tax, accounting, or other professional record-retention advice. Users are responsible for determining how long to keep their own records and whether to consult an appropriate qualified professional.

Is there a physical product?

No. Clearfield Forward™ products are digital products.

Customers receive digital files that can be downloaded and saved to their own device.

What is the Free Download?

The Free Download is a complimentary Clearfield Forward™ starter resource for users who want a simple first step toward clearing the field, organizing what matters, and moving forward with more clarity.

It is not the full Move Forward File™ product.

Can I get a refund?

Refund eligibility for digital products is governed by the Clearfield Forward™ Refund Policy.

Because digital products can be delivered, downloaded, copied, saved, printed, or otherwise accessed after purchase, refunds are generally not available once delivery, access, or download has occurred, except as provided in the Refund Policy.

Possible exceptions, including duplicate purchases, incorrect product delivery, or file-access problems that Clearfield Forward™ cannot resolve, may be reviewed according to the Refund Policy.

Can I contact Clearfield Forward™ about my personal or business situation?

Clearfield Forward™ can answer product-access questions, file-delivery questions, replacement-copy questions for verified purchasers, and general product-use questions within the scope of the Support Policy.

Clearfield Forward™ does not review personal or business situations, evaluate completed files, advise customers on disputes or cases, provide emergency assistance, or tell users what action to take.

Do not send completed files, private records, sensitive documents, or detailed personal or business information by email or in support messages.

Can I use The Move Forward File™ on a phone or tablet?

File access and editing depend on the device, operating system, and compatible apps available to the user.

DOCX files may be opened and edited using compatible apps, but formatting, tables, dictation, and other features may work differently on smaller devices.

Can I save The Move Forward File™ on more than one device?

Yes. A purchaser may download, save, and use The Move Forward File™ on their own compatible laptop, tablet, phone, and other personal devices. Each locally saved copy is separate and does not automatically update or sync with copies stored on other devices.

To use the same updated working file across devices, the purchaser must independently transfer or synchronize that file using a compatible storage or file-transfer method. Clearfield Forward™ does not provide cloud storage, automatic synchronization, or access to customer-completed files.

Customers should download and securely save all purchased files promptly, keep a blank master copy, and maintain their own backups. Continued access through the delivery platform may be available but is not guaranteed indefinitely.

Use across the purchaser’s own devices does not permit sharing the blank or reusable template with clients, employees, contractors, assistants, or others. Completed working files containing the purchaser’s own entered information may be shared as permitted by the Limited Single-User License.

How will I receive my purchase?

After successful payment, customers receive access to their purchased digital files through the checkout or delivery platform. Access instructions may be provided through an order-confirmation page, receipt email, customer order page, download link, or another delivery method presented at the time of purchase.

Customers should download and securely save all included files promptly, keep a blank master copy, and maintain their own backups. Continued access through the delivery platform may be available but is not guaranteed indefinitely.

If expected receipt or file-access instructions are not received, customers should check spam or junk folders before contacting Clearfield Forward™ support with the limited order information needed to investigate the issue.

Clear the field. Align the facts. Move forward.
